How to choose a box type high-temperature resistance furnace?

Time:2025-05-13 Click:0

When choosing a box type high-temperature resistance furnace, multiple factors need to be considered comprehensively. Here are some key points:

1.Temperature range
Select the resistance furnace that can meet the highest heating temperature according to the process requirements of the materials to be processed. Generally speaking, the temperature range of a common box type high-temperature resistance furnace is 500-1800 ℃. For processing ordinary metal materials, a resistance furnace with a temperature range of 1000-1200 ℃ can usually meet the requirements; If it involves special ceramics, precious metal melting, etc., a high-temperature resistance furnace at 1600 ℃ or above may be required.

2.Furnace size
The furnace size needs to be determined based on the size and quantity of the workpiece to be processed. To ensure that the workpiece can be placed reasonably in the furnace and there is sufficient space for hot air circulation to ensure temperature uniformity. For example, when dealing with large molds, it is necessary to choose a resistance furnace with a larger furnace size, such as an internal size of 800mm × 500mm × 400mm or larger; For small parts, smaller furnace sizes such as 300mm × 200mm × 150mm can be chosen to improve heating efficiency and save energy.

3.Temperature uniformity
For many heat treatment processes, temperature uniformity is crucial. The temperature uniformity of the resistance furnace is generally required to be within ± 5- ± 10 ℃. If high temperature uniformity is required, such as heat treatment of precision instrument parts, a resistance furnace with multiple heating zones and good uniformity can be selected, which achieves a more uniform temperature distribution by reasonably arranging heating elements and optimizing the furnace structure.

4.Heating element
As mentioned earlier, there are various types of heating elements such as nickel chromium alloy, iron chromium aluminum alloy, silicon carbide, silicon molybdenum rod, etc. Nickel chromium alloy and iron chromium aluminum alloy are suitable for medium and low temperature ranges and have relatively low prices; Silicon carbide and silicon molybdenum rods are suitable for high temperature ranges, with high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance. For example, in temperature environments below 1000 ℃, nickel chromium alloy heating elements can be given priority consideration; For high temperatures above 1300 ℃, silicon molybdenum rods or silicon carbide heating elements are more suitable.

5.Precision
Select a resistance furnace with appropriate temperature control accuracy according to the process requirements. Generally speaking, the temperature control accuracy of ordinary industrial production can meet the requirements within ± 1- ± 2 ℃; For some high-precision scientific research experiments or processes that require strict temperature control, such as annealing of semiconductor materials, a resistance furnace with a temperature control accuracy of ± 0.1 ℃ may be required, which requires high-precision temperature control systems and sensors.

6.Atmosphere requirements
If the heat treatment process needs to be carried out in a specific atmosphere, such as vacuum, protective gas (nitrogen, argon, etc.) environment, it is necessary to choose a corresponding box type high-temperature resistance furnace with sealed structure and atmosphere control function. For example, in the sintering process of metal materials, in order to prevent oxidation, it is usually necessary to conduct it under vacuum or protective gas atmosphere. In this case, it is necessary to choose a resistance furnace with a vacuum system or gas inlet device.

7.Brand and after-sales service
Choosing a well-known brand of resistance furnace usually ensures better product quality and performance, and has a comprehensive after-sales service system. You can learn about the brand’s reputation and product quality by consulting product information, user reviews, and peers. Good after-sales service includes timely technical support, parts supply, and maintenance services, which are crucial for the long-term stable operation of equipment. For example, when equipment malfunctions, quick response and effective maintenance can be obtained, which can reduce production downtime and losses.

8.Price and operating costs
The prices of box type high-temperature resistance furnaces vary greatly depending on different manufacturers, specifications, and performance, and should be selected according to the budget. At the same time, the operating costs of the equipment should also be considered, including energy consumption, service life of heating elements, maintenance costs, etc. Generally speaking, the energy consumption of high-temperature resistance furnaces is relatively high. Choosing energy-saving resistance furnaces can reduce operating costs, such as using high-quality insulation materials and designing heating element layouts reasonably to improve energy utilization efficiency.
