Various faults may occur during the use of crucible furnaces. The following are some common faults and their solutions:
1. Crucible rupture or damage:
Reason: It may be caused by uneven heating, sudden cooling and heating, external impact, or quality issues with the crucible itself.
Solution: Stop using immediately and replace the crucible with a new one. Check the heating system to ensure uniform temperature rise and fall, and avoid drastic temperature changes. In addition, ensure that the storage and use environment of the crucible meets the requirements to avoid physical damage.
2. Unstable temperature control:
Reason: It may be a malfunction of the heating element, temperature sensor, or control system.
Solution: Check if the connection between the heating element and temperature sensor is normal, and replace it if necessary. Calibrate the temperature control system to ensure its proper functioning.
3. Salt or liquid leakage from crucible furnace:
Reason: It may be due to the poor corrosion resistance of the crucible material, casting defects, or cracks generated during use.
Solution: Choose corrosion-resistant crucible materials and conduct strict inspections on the new crucible to ensure that there are no defects such as sand holes or pores. Regularly check the condition of the crucible and replace it promptly if cracks or corrosion are found.
4. Corrosion of furnace or crucible:
Reason: Long term processing of corrosive materials.
Solution: Pre treat the material before use to reduce corrosive impurities. Regularly inspect the inner walls of the furnace and crucible, and replace relevant components promptly if signs of corrosion are found.
5. Uneven heating:
Reason: Unreasonable arrangement of heating elements, furnace design issues, or improper material loading.
Solution: Adjust the arrangement of heating elements to ensure even heat distribution. Optimize furnace design, improve material loading methods, and avoid uneven material accumulation.
6. Furnace or crucible scaling:
Reason: Material residue or chemical reaction.
Solution: Use appropriate cleaning agents to regularly clean the furnace and crucible, reducing the accumulation of dirt. In daily operations, promptly clean up residual materials.
7. Electrical system malfunction:
Reason: Power supply issue, aging circuit, or poor contact.
Solution: Regularly check the power supply and wiring to ensure a secure connection and no signs of aging. Maintain and upkeep the electrical system, and promptly replace damaged components.
