The common faults and solutions that may occur during the use of a multi temperature gradient experimental tube furnace are as follows:
1. After power on, there is no power display on the instrument panel
Possible reason: The plug is not properly inserted; The fuse is blown; The fuse of the control circuit is blown.
Solution: Check if the plug is plugged in or connected properly; Replace the fuse; Check for short circuits and eliminate them before replacing the fuse.
2. The power supply and heating elements are normal, but the temperature inside the furnace does not rise
Possible reason: The set temperature is relatively low; The control circuit is damaged.
Solution: Adjust the set temperature; Notify professional maintenance personnel to inspect and control the circuit.
3. The set temperature does not match the temperature inside the furnace, resulting in a positive or negative deviation
Possible reasons: Damage to temperature sensor or temperature controller; There is a deviation between the temperature measurement point and the layout point.
Solution: Replace the temperature sensor or thermostat; Set up the layout position to ensure accurate temperature measurement.
4. The instrument output is normal, and the OUT indicator light is not flashing
Possible cause: The main circuit has malfunctioned.
Solution: Check if the resistance wire is short circuited, if the heating element is controllable, replace the resistance wire or temperature controller.
5. The instrument SV alternately displays ORAL
Possible cause: Short circuit of thermocouple.
Solution: Replace the thermocouple.
6. The instrument SV alternately displays HIAL
Possible reason: The temperature inside the furnace exceeded the limit, and the instrument acted as a protective measure.
Solution: Wait until the temperature drops to a safe level before the instrument returns to normal.
7. When heating up, the temperature display does not increase but instead decreases
Possible reason: The positive and negative poles of the thermocouple are reversed.
Solution: Swap the positive and negative wiring of the thermocouple.
8. The ammeter has no current, but the voltmeter has voltage
Possible cause: Heating element breakage.
Solution: Open the furnace door and observe which heating element is broken before replacing it.
9. The voltage and power supply are normal, but the electric furnace is not working
Possible reason: There is an error in the parameters of the electric furnace.
Solution: Contact the manufacturer and have them guide you through a video call to reset the parameters.
10. When using vacuum, the vacuum degree decreases
Possible reasons: Aging or damage of the heat-resistant silicone ring between the stainless steel flanges; Improper installation of stainless steel flange; The vacuum system has malfunctioned.
Solution: Replace the heat-resistant silicone rings between the stainless steel flanges separately; Reinstall the stainless steel flange; Replace and repair the vacuum system.
11. Spraying phenomenon occurs during the use of the cold furnace
Possible reasons: The heating rate in the low-temperature section is too fast, and the differences in heating rates between different temperature sections are too large, without fully considering the physical and chemical properties of the sintered material.
Solution: Reasonably set the heating rate and fully consider the physical and chemical properties of the sintered material.
12. Severe temperature loss in the furnace and abnormal temperature display
Possible cause: Damaged or improperly installed furnace door seals.
Solution: Check if the furnace door seal is damaged. If it is damaged, replace it with a new seal in a timely manner and ensure that the furnace door is installed correctly and tightly closed.
