When choosing a large box type resistance furnace, it is necessary to comprehensively consider various factors such as technical parameters, functional requirements, safety, and after-sales service. The following are specific precautions:

Technical Parameter
Temperature range: Clearly define the required working temperature range. Different processes and material treatments have different temperature requirements. For example, metal heat treatment generally ranges from 800 to 1200 ℃, while ceramic firing may require high temperatures above 1500 ℃. To avoid blindly pursuing high-temperature models, although high-temperature models have outstanding performance, equipment costs and maintenance expenses are higher, and heating elements and furnace materials are relatively fragile; If the experimental or process temperature is basically within 800 ℃, choosing a low-temperature resistance furnace will be more economical and practical.
Furnace size: Determine the appropriate furnace volume based on the size and quantity of the processed materials, ensuring sufficient space for the workpiece while avoiding excessive energy waste. For small-scale laboratory needs, moderate or small furnaces are more suitable to ensure heating efficiency and energy conservation.
Heating power: Considering heating speed and energy efficiency, the higher the power, the faster the heating rate, but energy consumption should also be taken into account. Suitable heating power should be selected according to actual needs.
Temperature control accuracy: Select a control system with corresponding accuracy based on the requirements of temperature control accuracy in experiments or production. The control accuracy is usually between ± 1 ℃ and ± 5 ℃, and the price of high-precision controlled resistance furnaces is relatively high.
Temperature uniformity: If high temperature uniformity is required, such as precision material processing or experiments, attention should be paid to the performance of the product in this regard. Reasonably selecting equipment equipped with multi-point temperature measurement and PID control can help ensure the uniformity and consistency of the heat treatment process.

Functional requirement
Heating elements: Understand the types, quality, and durability of heating elements (such as resistance wires, silicon carbide rods, silicon molybdenum rods, etc.), as different types of heating elements have different heating effects and service lives. Meanwhile, details such as the arrangement of heating elements and heating uniformity play a significant role in overall performance.
Furnace material: Choose the appropriate furnace material based on the operating temperature, chemical compatibility, etc. Common furnace materials include refractory bricks, ceramic fibers, etc. At high temperatures, furnaces made of corundum or silicon carbide may be required.
Special functions: Based on actual needs, consider whether special functions such as atmosphere control, sealing and vacuuming, programmed temperature rise, and automatic recording are needed. These functions can meet the special requirements of specific experiments or production processes.

Safety
Safety protection devices: The equipment should be equipped with multiple safety protection devices, such as over temperature protection, phase loss protection, leakage protection, power-off protection, leakage alarm, and protective door locks, to ensure safe and reliable use.
Sealing and high-temperature insulation materials for furnace doors: This is crucial for preventing heat leakage and avoiding scalding accidents.

Brand and reputation: Choosing products from well-known brands with good reputation usually ensures better quality and after-sales service.
After sales support capability: Understanding the manufacturer’s after-sales support capabilities, including maintenance, parts supply, etc., ensures that the manufacturer can provide timely and high-quality after-sales service and technical support, which helps to solve possible problems during use and ensure the long-term stable operation of the resistance furnace.

Future upgrade space: Pay attention to the future upgrade space of equipment, choose models with open interfaces and strong compatibility to avoid technical bottlenecks and replacement costs in the future, and avoid the economic burden caused by frequent replacement.
