Operation steps of well crucible furnace

The operation steps of a well type crucible furnace generally include preparation work, loading, vacuuming (if necessary), heating, cooling, etc. The following is a specific introduction:

1. Preparation work:
Check if the power cord is in good contact to ensure normal power supply.
Check if the connecting wires are normal to avoid short circuits or poor contacts.
Check if the cooling water is normal and ensure that the cooling system is unobstructed.
Check if the sealing is normal to prevent leakage of molten material.
Prepare necessary tools such as dust-free paper, anhydrous alcohol, canvas gloves, work gloves, masks, heat-resistant gloves, graphite carts, stainless steel trays, etc.

2. Loading:
Turn on the main power switch to ensure normal power supply.
Fill the furnace with argon gas to atmospheric pressure, open the front door of the furnace, and remove the graphite cover plate.
Turn the conveyor switch to “OUT” and clean the dirt on the furnace wall, graphite parts, and insulation materials.
Place the graphite crucible on the conveyor platform and use a limit rod to determine its position.
Load molten materials such as silicon in sequence to ensure a smooth surface.
Pull out the limit rod, turn the conveyor switch to “IN”, operate “UP-FORWARD-BACK DOWN” in sequence, install the crucible into the furnace, and ensure that the conveyor returns to its initial position.
Install the graphite cover plate, tighten the graphite bolts, and close the furnace door tightly.

3. Vacuum pumping (if required):
Check if the furnace door is tightly closed and if the vacuum system is sealed.
Set the “DP” button to “DP ON”, turn on the dry vacuum pump, turn on the vacuum gauge switch “P1G1”, open the dry vacuum pump valve, and start pumping to test the leakage rate.
When the pressure gauge indicates 50Pa, close the vacuum pump valve (non vacuum pump), expose 1Pa/min of aluminum, and open the argon valve to fill with argon gas (such as 20L/min).

4. Heating:
First, turn on the water ring pump, then press “RUN” to start the process heating.
During the heating process, closely monitor the temperature inside the furnace to ensure temperature stability, and adjust the heating curve according to process requirements.

5. Cooling:
After heating, cool according to the process conditions.
During the cooling process, ensure that the temperature inside the furnace drops uniformly to avoid sudden temperature changes that may cause the crucible to break.
