The common faults and solutions of box type resistor muffle furnace are as follows:

1. Heating malfunction
The temperature cannot rise
Reason: Heating element damage (such as broken resistance wire, aging silicon carbide rod), power failure (short circuit, blown fuse), temperature controller malfunction.
resolvent:
Check the appearance of the heating element, test the resistance value with a multimeter, and replace it if it is damaged.
Check if the power circuit is loose or damaged, and replace the blown fuse.
Re calibrate or replace the temperature controller.
Slow or uneven heating
Reason: uneven distribution of heating elements, improper placement of materials in the furnace, inadequate sealing of the furnace door, and poor circulation of hot air (fan failure or airway blockage).
resolvent:
Adjust the position of the heating element or replace it with a more evenly distributed model.
Reasonably place the samples to avoid blocking the hot air circulation path.
Replace the sealing strip or clean the sealing surface to ensure that the furnace door is tightly closed.
Check if the fan impeller is unbalanced and clean the dust accumulation in the air duct.

2. Abnormal temperature control
Temperature too high or too low
Reason: Temperature sensor malfunction (thermocouple damage or loose connection), incorrect controller parameter settings, partial damage to heating element.
resolvent:
Check if the thermocouple terminal and lead are securely connected, test for open circuit with a multimeter, and replace if necessary.
Reset controller parameters (such as PID values, temperature upper and lower limits).
Check the integrity of the heating element and replace any damaged parts.
Abnormal temperature display (flower screen, no display, color error)
Reason: Display screen malfunction, control board malfunction, aging display cable or poor contact.
resolvent:
Check if the power interface of the controller is loose and observe if the power indicator light is normal.
Open the controller casing, check if the display cable is aging or loose, and replace the display screen or control board if necessary.

3. Equipment startup and operation issues
The device cannot start
Reason: Power failure, control panel malfunction, overload protection triggered.
resolvent:
Check if the power plug is properly plugged in and if the power cord is damaged.
Use a multimeter to detect the control panel signal and current, and repair the faulty circuit board.
Reduce the load, wait for the device to cool down before restarting, and adjust the overload protection parameters.
Trip during operation
Reason: Short circuit in the circuit, malfunction of electrical components (such as damaged solid-state relays), unstable power supply voltage.
resolvent:
Check for short circuit points in the circuit, repair or replace damaged circuits.
Check if the solid-state relay is burnt out and replace damaged components.
Use a voltage regulator to stabilize the power supply voltage.

4. Sealing and safety issues
The furnace door is not tightly sealed
Reason: Aging of seals and deformation of furnace doors.
resolvent:
Replace the sealing strip and clean the dirt on the sealing surface.
Calibrate or repair the furnace door to ensure there are no gaps when closed.
transistor leakage
Reason: Insulation damage (such as broken heating element leads), poor grounding.
resolvent:
Check if the heating element leads are damaged, wrap them with insulating tape or replace the leads.
Ensure that the equipment is well grounded with a grounding resistance of ≤ 4 Ω.

5. Noise and vibration issues
Excessive noise
Reason: Loose mechanical components (such as fan impeller, base screws), fan malfunction.
resolvent:
Tighten loose mechanical components such as fan impellers and base screws.
Repair or replace the faulty fan, and clean the dust inside the fan.
Equipment vibration
Reason: Unstable base and deformed support frame.
resolvent:
Adjust the device base to ensure a stable placement.
Check if the support frame is bent and correct or replace it if necessary.

6. Communication and operational issues
Communication interruption
Reason: Loose connection wires between the controller and the muffle furnace, loose internal plugins of the controller, and software malfunction.
resolvent:
Re plug and unplug the connecting wires to ensure good contact.
Check if the internal plugins of the controller are loose and tighten them.
Restart the device or update the control software.
Touch function is invalid
Reason: Poor connection of the monitor circuit and aging of the display cable.
resolvent:
Check if the monitor wiring is properly connected and unplug the display cable again.
Replace aging or damaged display cables.
