Vertical tube heat treatment electric furnace may encounter various faults during use. The following are some common faults and their troubleshooting methods:
1. Power and display malfunction
Instrument without power display:
Possible reasons: power not connected, power cord failure, or internal fuse blown.
Exclusion method: Check if the power socket, power switch, and power cord are normal, and confirm if there is power supply. If it is a fuse issue, it needs to be checked and replaced with a suitable fuse after cutting off the power.
The indicator light is not on:
Possible cause: The fuse is blown.
Exclusion method: Replace the fuse.
2. Temperature control malfunction
The temperature inside the furnace does not rise:
Possible reasons: Damage to heating element, malfunction of temperature controller, or abnormal power supply.
Exclusion method: Check whether the heating element is intact, and replace it if it is damaged; Check the temperature controller settings and output status, and repair or replace the temperature controller if necessary; Confirm whether the power supply voltage is stable and can meet the equipment requirements.
The set temperature does not match the temperature inside the furnace:
Possible reasons: incorrect thermocouple wiring, sensor malfunction, or temperature control system misalignment.
Exclusion method: Check if the positive and negative connections of the thermocouple are correct. If they are reversed, correct them; If the thermocouple or sensor fails, replace it with a new one; If there is a problem with the temperature controller itself, it needs to be calibrated or replaced.
Temperature out of control:
Possible reasons: thermocouple not inserted into the furnace, thermocouple index not consistent with the temperature control instrument, compensation wire issues, etc.
Exclusion method: Install the thermocouple correctly; Adjust or replace thermocouples to match temperature control instruments; Timely repair or replace compensating wires.
Abnormal temperature display:
Possible reasons: temperature sensor malfunction, temperature controller malfunction, or display screen malfunction.
Exclusion method: Replace or tighten the temperature sensor; Replace or repair the temperature controller; Replace or tighten the display screen.
3. Heating element malfunction
Heating element damage:
Possible cause: The heating element may have broken or been damaged.
Exclusion method: Stop using the furnace and check if the heating element is damaged or broken. If necessary, replace damaged heating elements and ensure proper installation to prevent secondary damage.
The ammeter has no current, but the voltmeter has voltage:
Possible cause: Heating element breakage.
Exclusion method: Open the furnace door and observe which heating element is broken before replacing it, without replacing all of them.
4. Sealing and atmosphere control malfunction
Inadequate sealing of furnace chamber:
Possible reasons: Wear or aging of sealing components such as furnace doors and sealing rings.
Exclusion method: Check if the sealing components are intact. If there is wear or aging, replace them in a timely manner. Check if the sealing components are installed correctly and adjust them to ensure the sealing effect.
Vacuum degree decreases:
Possible reasons: Vacuum system leakage or aging of seals.
Exclusion method: Check whether the connections of various components in the vacuum system are tight, and replace aging seals.
5. Other faults
The instrument output is normal but the OUT indicator light is not flashing:
Possible reasons: Main circuit malfunction, such as damaged thyristor, indicator light malfunction, or open circuit of heating resistor wire.
Exclusion method: Check if the thyristor is working properly and replace it if it is damaged; Check if the indicator light is damaged and replace it if necessary; Check if the heating resistor wire is intact, and replace it if there is an open circuit.
Pipeline blockage:
Possible cause: Blockage or accumulation of debris inside the pipeline.
Exclusion method: Regularly clean the pipeline to prevent the accumulation of debris. If severe blockage occurs, appropriate cleaning tools can be used for cleaning.
Control system malfunction:
Possible cause: The control system has malfunctioned and is unable to control the furnace properly.
Exclusion method: Restart the control system and check if the power supply and connection lines are normal. If necessary, contact professional technicians for maintenance or replacement of the control system.
