The furnace tube materials of tubular muffle furnace are diverse, including quartz glass tube, corundum tube (alumina ceramic tube), stainless steel tube, as well as special materials such as silicon carbide tube and mullite tube. The specific selection needs to be comprehensively considered based on the experimental temperature, atmosphere environment, and material characteristics. The following is a detailed introduction to each material:

1. Quartz glass tube:
High temperature resistance: It can withstand high temperatures up to about 1200 ° C and is suitable for medium and low temperature experiments.
Transparency: Good transparency, easy to observe in experiments.
Thermal shock resistance: Excellent thermal shock resistance, able to withstand rapid temperature changes.
Chemical inertness: Good chemical inertness, especially suitable for acidic and clean environments.
Limitations: Afraid of alkali and hydrofluoric acid, and relatively brittle, prone to damage.

2. Corundum tube (alumina ceramic tube):
High temperature resistance: It can withstand high temperatures up to 1600 ° C or higher and is suitable for high-temperature experiments.
Mechanical strength: High mechanical strength, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant.
Chemical stability: Good corrosion resistance, especially suitable for alkaline environments.
Thermal shock resistance: The thermal shock resistance is not as good as quartz glass tube, but better than stainless steel tube.

3. Stainless steel pipe:
Cost: Low cost, economical and practical.
Mechanical strength: High mechanical strength and wear resistance.
Applicable temperature: Suitable for lower temperatures (<1000 ° C) and inert or reducing atmospheres.
Limitations: Easy to oxidize and corrode, especially in high-temperature oxidizing atmospheres.

4. Other special pipes:
Silicon carbide tube: It has excellent high temperature resistance and thermal shock resistance, and is suitable for experiments such as high-temperature carbonization treatment.
Mullite tube: It has the characteristics of good high-temperature stability and low thermal expansion coefficient, and is suitable for high-temperature thermal shock experiments.
